Rob is a director of Lifeworlds and one of its founders. He co-ordinates the practitioner team and is responsible for the day to day running of Lifeworlds and for partner relations and organisational direction. 
Rob has held various former roles including as a researcher and lecturer in three UK universities and as an acclaimed non-fiction author of over 100 children's books. He has also worked as a professional documentary photographer specialising in social and environmental issues and as a designer.
His work has taken him to Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and the Middle East, and his roles have included staff development, policy research, resource production, strategic planning, conference facilitation and direct work with learners of all ages.
Rob regularly publishes articles and blogs relating to his work and completed a PhD in Human Geography, Policy & Development with the Centre for Global Development at Northumbria University in 2025.  He is best known for designing and leading transformational learning journeys and within Lifeworlds leads on work around the leadership of change, and a deeper understanding of values, empathy and resilience as they relate to learning, transformation and prefiguration.
In his downtime, Rob enjoys carpentry, walking in nature, canoeing, music and cooking.
