our values and intent behind what we do

organisational change
we help organisations navigate change. Our approach is rooted in the psychology and sociology of change. We understand change as learning and learning as change.
professional learning (CPD)
we provide tailored professional learning for teams, communities, and organisations. We combine your needs with our experience in creating engaging, participatory and meaningful learning encounters.
resource production
we offer a full resource production service from research and writing through to design and print. We bring 25 years of experience in both print and online resource production for partners big and small.
workshops
we offer bespoke workshop design and facilitation for your organisation, cause or event. We use creative and participatory approaches to open minds and empower collective learning.
research
we can meet your research needs whether desk-based or active knowledge creation. We offer design, delivery, evaluation and reporting options to suit your requirements and intent.
coaching
we offer one to one or small group coaching to support leaders and leadership teams. We act as critical companions to support changemaking and the wellbeing of those making the changes.

We prioritise meeting you where you are at. From there, we jointly sense and scope where we might want to go, what might be needed and whether this is something we might do together.

We have learned that no two learning communities are the same and so why should our offer be? The downside? This can make our offer both simple and complex:

Simple: we invite you to get in touch and share your learning challenge with us - whatever it is. We begin by simply asking 'how can we help?'  No selling, just a promise to listen, to get to know you and the challenge or itch that led you to reach out. The rest we can work out together.

Complex: you don't know us and you're perhaps not sure what you want and whether we are a good fit or even relevant. Our lack of a clear offer might not help matters. We understand that. The rest of this page shares insights into what we do to see if that helps.

So, if you're already curious to explore how we might help then get in touch to schedule an initial conversation. If you're not sure or can't yet see what you're looking for then we invite you to continue exploring what we do to see if that helps.
Whilst we don't provide 'off the shelf' products or services as such, our practice is scaffolded around some core elements that we share below. You might also like to explore our approach if you've not looked at this already.

Critical thinking is foundational to our practice. For us it has a double meaning. Firstly it is about developing a deep curiosity: to question, situate, challenge, and reimagine our ways of being, belonging and becoming. It is about the 'why?'. Secondly it is about thinking through the critical issues of our moment and how these relate to our everyday systems, practice and priorities.
Values and frames are an essential part of understanding our needs, dreams, motivations and aspirations as humans. Values and frames are integral to our own practice and we specialise in helping organisations to better understand values and the ways in which they operate. We use values based approaches to build meaningful and powerful pathways for change.
Pluriversality refers to the idea of their being multiple, interconnected worlds and ways of knowing, and calls into question a singular worldview. By creating space to notice and critically question dominant dispositions, we embrace the possibilities that pluriversal thinking and perspectives offer to imagine our worlds and its challenges anew.
Imagination is an under-rated superpower with the ability to bridge from the world as is, to the world as we'd like it to be. We use creativity, futuring and wayfinding to unleash the lost art of imagining; to bring positive futures into view; and to co-create prefigurative pathways to bring it to life. If you'd like to imagine the world differently, we can help you with that.
Nature connectedness is about reframing ourselves as part of nature. It means foregrounding our relationships with nature rather than our control and ownership of nature. This creates new narrative spaces for exploring the symbiocene in which notions of superiority and separation are replaced by those of relationally and reciprocity with nature. We also practice with nature connectedness from a wellbeing perspective.
Transformational change is about deep change to the culture and ethos of a system, process or practice. Many 'change' processes focus on short-term, impact-driven actions that more often than not fall short or are short lived. Our practice goes beyond tinkering with the status quo and inquires into the deep questions that help to reveal the true leverage points for change that is transformational.
Power and agency are essential to understanding the sorts of systems levels changes that we aspire to in our practice. We use critical and creative approaches to surface existing power structures and relationships and to map and understand agency in all its forms. A positive appreciation of power and agency can unleash the energy needed for transformational change and create more open and authentic communities of practice to deliver on this.
De/colonisation refers to the practice of critically acknowledging the colonial structures and imaginaries that we are both subject to, and complicit in upholding. It invites us to recognise the privilege that this affords; to become open to naming and challenging this; and to elevate our awareness of alterity and pluriversal ways of knowing.
